The KUL A-CDM implementation project continues to progress through the months of December till February. This was marked by a briefing session from the main contractor to the Malaysia Airports Project Director for the KUL A-CDM Implementation, as well as a site visit to view the installation progress of the Ramp Display. The session took place on the morning of 18th January 2023.
It was attended by the entire Project Implementation Team from the main contractor Redberry Ambient Sdn Bhd, the consultants and Subject Matter Experts from T-Systems, as well as the Project Task Force members from MAHB. The General Manager for Operations, klia2, Mr Shahrunnizam Abd Jamil as well as the CEO of Redberry Ambient Sdn Bhd also attended the session.
The session started with a demonstration of the A-CDM Information Portal (ACIP) by Mr Michael Mowinski, the Procedure Development Lead from T-Systems. The Ramp Display team was there to ensure the Ramp Display unit in the Project Meeting Room responds to the necessary changes during the ACIP demonstration.
Following the demonstration, the Project Director was briefed on the overall progress of the project, challenges faced and solutions. While waiting for the bus to bring the team into the airside area, the Project Director gave a brief overview of the airport area to the main contractor and consultants, including some interesting trivia and history behind the construction of the airport.
The site visit took place immediately following the briefing session, joined by Mr Maz Hiza Nazly Othman, the General Manager for IT Architecture & Strategy.
After an inspection of the installed ramp displays at KLIA Terminal 2, the teams took the opportunity for a group photo taken at a safe location near the taxiway before adjourning.
