Established in Europe and being rapidly implemented in Asia Pacific, A-CDM aims to improve air traffic at airports by improving the predictability of events and optimising the utilisation of resources.
The purpose of A-CDM is to integrate related parties such as airports, air traffic control, airlines, etc. into a unified platform to achieve the coordinated decision-making purpose of airport operation and management.
A-CDM can achieve the working mechanism of coordinated operation and cooperation between the airport, air traffic control and airlines, with the airport as the pivot of this cooperation.
The system integrates data of all parties and shares the data to achieve a reasonable allocation of the resources of each operator, with the airport as the centre as well as to improve the overall operating efficiency to ensure flight operations.
KUL A-CDM will be implemented using the step-by-step milestone-based approach in KUL’s working and operational environment. The main objectives in implementing A-CDM are to achieve the following:
The ultimate goal is to declare that KUL is running on A-CDM Mode of Operations and is ready for integration with ATFM.
When the KUL A-CDM is fully implemented, for every aircraft and/or flight coming to KUL, the pilot will have an A-CDM procedure to be followed based on the turnaround process established for KUL operations.
Every stakeholder and person involved in the turnaround process must follow the KUL A-CDM process.
